As Pearl Jam battles an unspecified illness, fans are left in disappointment with the latest cancellation of several highly-anticipated European tour dates.

AceShowbiz - Pearl Jam has been forced to cancel more shows on their European tour due to ongoing health issues affecting some band members. Recently, the group had to call off their London show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 29. Now, they have also scrapped two performances in Berlin originally scheduled for July 2 and 3.

The cancellations were confirmed through a statement shared on the band's social media channels. The band acknowledged the difficulty of making such decisions and expressed their disappointment.

"Despite everyone's best efforts, the band has yet to make a full recovery. The impacts of this decision are not lost on us. We feel deeply that so many people spend their time, money, and emotional energy to get tickets and then to come see the band, and it is heart-wrenching to have to disappoint you. We also appreciate the many people whose hard work goes into making these shows happen."

Refunds for the canceled shows will be processed at the point of purchase. Frontman Eddie Vedder hinted that the illness might have originated after he caught a bug following recent interactions with fans during a Dublin show. Vedder had already faced vocal issues during their June 25 performance in Manchester, marking only the second date of this leg of the tour.

The band's next concert is slated for July 6 in Barcelona. Fans have been advised to stay updated via the band's social media channels and website for any further news related to tour resumption or additional cancellations. Tickets for the Berlin shows will be refunded at the point of purchase.

Pearl Jam is currently on tour in support of their latest album, "Dark Matter", which debuted in April. The tour is scheduled to conclude in November in Australia.

The rockers have also marked the 24th anniversary of the tragic crowd surge at Denmark's Roskilde Festival in 2000, a disaster that claimed the lives of nine fans. In remembrance, the band posted on social media, stating, "We honor and remember the young men who tragically lost their lives on June 30, 2000, and hold their friends and families in our hearts."

The U.S. leg of Pearl Jam's tour is scheduled to commence in August, with North American performances extending into September. As the world watches and waits, fans hope for a speedy recovery for the band members and a triumphant return to the stage.
