A Filipino woman told the former 'Suits' actress that it was her wedding anniversary, prompting the latter to say, 'Salamat po,' which means 'thank you' in Tagalog.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle is undoubtedly sweet towards her fans! The fiancee of Prince Harry gave a Filipino woman a special surprise of a lifetime during her and Harry's trip to Edinburgh, Scotland over Valentine's Day weekend.

The 36-year-old former "Suits" actress was caught in a video greeting a woman who was visiting from the Philippines. The woman told Meghan that it was her wedding anniversary, to which Meghan sweetly responded, "Oh! It's amazing."

Before leaving, Meghan said to the woman, "Salamat po," which means "thank you" in Tagalog. Upon hearing the words, the woman could be heard screaming in joy. She replied, "Salamat." Not being able to hide her happiness, she went on gushing, "Oh my goodness, so sweet!" while turning around to the camera.

Meghan previously wrote on her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig, that she had a soft spot for Filipino culture. "Growing up in L.A., with its melting pot of vast and varied cultures, I was no stranger to the Filipino community,” she previously said. "I can whip up a big pot of chicken adobo like it's nobody's business, and you'll occasionally hear me toss out a 'Salamat po' conversationally."

She added, "I enjoy making slow-cooked food on Sundays, like Filipino-style chicken adobo. It's so easy--combine garlic, soy (or Bragg Liquid Aminos), vinegar, maybe some lemon and let the chicken swim in that sauce until it falls off the bone in a Crock Pot."

Meanwhile, previous report stated that Meghan and Prince Harry experienced a security scare after a package containing white substance and "racist" letter was addressed to them. According to Metropolitan Police, the white substance, which previously sparked an anthrax scare, on the package was tested and confirmed as non-suspicious. However, officers are still investigating an allegation of malicious communications that relates to the same package, which is being treated as a "racist hate crime." In addition, a source alleged that the letter had "racist undertones" as Meghan is from a mixed-race background. Her father, Tom, is Caucasian, while her mother, Doria, is African American.
