BTS Confirmed to Appear on 'Ellen DeGeneres Show'

According to a representative for BTS, the band will perform for the live audience, with the performance being set to air on November 27.

AceShowbiz - Bangtan Boys a.k.a. BTS continues to prove themselves as rising K-Pop group in the U.S. as it is poised to make a daytime TV debut. Big Hit Entertainment has confirmed that the K-pop group will be appearing on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show".

The seven-piece group will be guesting on the Ellen DeGeneres-hosted popular talk show on November 21. It will mark BTS' latest high-profile TV appearance after previously being confirmed to appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!".

According to a representative for BTS, the band will perform for the live audience. The performance is set to air a week later on November 27.

Big Hit Entertainment has released a statement which reads, "BTS will showcase a live performance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' during their U.S. visit for the upcoming 'American Music Awards'." The septet's appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" comes two days after they make their debut U.S. TV performance at the 2017 American Music Awards, which will take place on November 19.

While the broadcast date for the group's appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" has been unveiled, it remains to be seen when the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" episode featuring the "Fire" hitmaker is going to air. Fans, however, assume that their idol will appear in November 20 episode, considering that the tickets for the episode was sold out in no time.

BTS is the latest Korean act to perform or appear on the U.S. television shows following Wonder Girls, Girls' Generation and PSY. Wonder Girls had a breakthrough performance on "The Wendy Williams Show" back in 2000, while Girls' Generation wowed audience when they performed "The Boys" on "Live with Kelly and Michael" nine years later. Most recently, PSY taught Ellen and Britney Spears to dance his famous horsey dance from "Gangnam Style" on the comedian's talk show.
