Amid his feud with Young Dolph, Gotti has earned success with his collaborative mixtape with Mike WiLL Made It and his song 'Rake It Up' featuring Nicki Minaj.

AceShowbiz - Yo Gotti might recently make headlines for the wrong reason, but you can't deny his musical influence lately. Amid his feud with Young Dolph, he teamed up with another rapper and record producer, Mike WiLL Made It, for a collaborative mixtape called "Gotti Made-It".
Tapping Nicki Minaj for the lead single "Rake It Up", the commercial mixtape only peaked at No. 85 on Billboard 200 albums chart. However, the single featuring Minaj helped Gotti soar higher on another music chart, Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 10. It became his highest charting single in the U.S. since his debut in 2000.
Gotti's fame wasn't earned in a blink. He started his career as a national hip-hop star in early 2000s with a string of independent albums, including "From Da Dope Game 2 Da Rap Game", "Self Explanatory", "Life" and "Back 2 Da Basics".
His first major effort "Live From the Kitchen" was released in 2012. It landed at No. 12 on Billboard 200. In the following year, the Tennessee-born rapper released another effort titled "I Am", which peaked at No. 7 on Billboard 200. His latest studio album, "The Art of Hustle", performed better, landing at No. 4 on the albums chart after it was released in February last year.
Following the performance of "Rake It Up", Gotti has received invites to perform at many events, including the upcoming "TIDAL X: Brooklyn" charity concert which is set to be held on October 17 at Barclays Center. The event, which will also include performances from Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, DJ Khaled, Chris Brown, Cardi B and many others, will benefit organizations which help victims of Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria and the earthquakes in Mexico.
His rising career aside, Yo Gotti was recently named as a person of interest in the shooting of rapper Young Dolph, with whom he has a long history of feuding. He has since been cleared, though. Dolph was hospitalized after he was shot outside Shoe Palace near Hollywood Boulevard on North Highland Avenue on September 26. He was hit multiple times and was in critical but stable condition.
Gotti and Dolph's crews were reportedly involved in an argument at the Loews Hotel in Hollywood before the incident. His pal Corey McClendon was arrested shortly after the shooting, but was later released without charges. Police are still looking for two other men in connection with the shooting.
