The third installment of 'The Maze Runner' film franchise is getting back on track after being put on a hiatus following the on-set accident that injured main actor Dylan O'Brien back in March.

AceShowbiz - 20th Century Fox's "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" is expected to resume production in February 2017. Deadline has reported that the third installment of "The Maze Runner" film franchise is getting back on track after being put on a hiatus following the on-set accident that injured main actor Dylan O'Brien back in March.
Dylan suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a car while filming the movie directed by Wes Ball in Cash Creek, California. He was supposed to return to filming last May, but Fox put on hold the plan to give the lead star more time to fully recover from his injuries. Late that month, the studio also decided to delay the film's release for nearly a year from February 17, 2017 to January 12, 2018.
The schedules of the crew have now been reset and the production on the follow-up to "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" will re-start early next year in a new location. The third "Maze Runner" film is still directed by Wes Ball. The script is provided by T.S. Nowlin based on one of the series of James Dashner's popular books. Wyck Godfrey, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Lee Stollman serve as producers.
Dylan stars alongside Thomas Sangster, Kaya Scodelario, Ki Hong Lee, Rosa Salazar, Dexter Darden and Barry Pepper who are set to reprise their respective roles. In the upcoming sci-fi thriller, Dylan's Thomas embarks on a mission to find a cure to a deadly disease known as the Flare.
