AceShowbiz - The top five of "The Voice" season 4 visited their hometowns before heading back to the show's stage for the semifinals. After looking back to the places and people who brought them to where they are now, the remaining contestants would deliver a special dedication in addition to singing a song picked by their respective coach.
Coach Usher opened the Monday, June 10 show with a performance of "Twisted". The Swon Brothers of Team Blake Shelton then kicked off the competition, singing Bob Seger's "Turn the Page" dedicated to their past and present bandmates from Oklahoma. Adam Levine and Usher praised them for dedicating it to the ones who really matter. The duo later returned to sing a laid-back number, "Danny's Song" by Loggins & Messina.
Sasha Allen covered Whitney Houston's version of "I Will Always Love You" and dedicated it to her children. Adam said it was one of the hardest songs to sing, but she did well. The mother of two later brought the audience back to the 1970s with her sexy performance of Donna Summer's disco song "Bad Girls", picked by her coach Shakira.
Michelle Chamuel first sang Zedd's "Clarity" which was picked by her coach Usher. The coaches praised her, but she did even better with "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper dedicated to her coach. Usher enthused that Michelle's "medicine for the whole world."
Blake picked Tim McGraw's "Please Remember Me" for his other protege Danielle Bradbery. She received a message from the original singer before delivering the emotional song. Usher said her performance was "amazeballs" and Adam claimed he was going to use the same word to describe the performance. For her second song, she went with Jessica Andrews' "Who I Am" dedicated to her best friend and her mom, who was crying while watching among the audience.
The last talent, Amber Carrington of Team Adam, dedicated "Firework" by Katy Perry to her best friends. Katy said in a taped message that it's a tough song and wished her good luck. Amber appeared to be struggling to hit the low and high notes of the song.
Amber later got a praise from her coach Adam for her performance of Maroon 5's "Sad". The band's frontman said she did it better than he did, and Blake was impressed by "the fact that you could make one of Adam's songs that beautiful."
On Tuesday night, two of these top five will be eliminated since only three will head to the grand finals. Cher has been tapped as a musical performer in the June 18 final results show.
