ABC is investing on the series finale of "Lost" by extending the television event with additional 30 minutes. On May 23, the originally two-hour episode would run from 9 to 11:30 P.M.. Creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse finished the editing on Monday, May 3, tweeting "We're done. Amen".

Lindelof and Cuse previously said that they could not cramp all the answers in the finale which has been titled "The End". But apparently, they need more than two hours just to tie some of the loose ends.

The overrun means local news will be pushed back and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" will start at 12:05 P.M.. Jimmy Kimmel will also participate in the arguably one of the biggest TV events, having the creators as well as several cast on his couch for "Aloha to Lost".
