Jenn, aka Super Mom, is sick in bed -- and she's not the only one who's ailing. Cassie and Charles' relationship looks a little peaked when Charles' half brother Travis proves to be a bad influence. While Cassie's busy applying to colleges and taking the SAT -- that is, planning her future -- Charles seems more interested in hanging out with Travis. He cuts class, then oversleeps and misses taking the SAT. Cassie tells him she can't be involved with someone who doesn't care about his future. Charles says he's just having a little fun getting to know his bro, but the good times turn bad pretty quickly. First, Charles has to drag Travis out of a card game after he's accused of cheating and comes THIS close to being beaten up. Then, at a wild party in a bad part of town, Charles tries to stop Travis frm tripping over an SUV. But it's too late, and the owner retaliates by smashing up Wes' vintage jaguar. Before Charles can think of what to do, the police show up and drag him and Travis to jail. Eddie bails Charles out, and Wes comes to take Travis home. Thanks to his influential friends, Wes manages to get all charges against Travis dropped. But what about the Jag? The next morning, Wes and Travis arrive at an auto body shop and find the Jag restored to mint condition -- thanks to Charles. Wes tells him that he has true talent and shakes his hand. Could this be the beggining of a thaw in father-son relations? As for Cassie and Charles, things take a definite upswing when he asks her to look over his application. He wants to go to California School of Design. Sounds like a plan. Meanwhile, Eddie's dad, Spencer, wins the heart of Dorothy Hammond. Lizzie shares another kiss and a deepening friendship with Andrew. And Tay meets his idol Trey Songz and gets to perform on stage with him. But just when everything seems perfect, the suttons are hit with devastating news. Jenn, the rock of the family, is taken away in an ambulance. With her condition unknown, the rest of the clan must do the hardest thing imaginable... sit and wait. And pray for the best.
