Kath is preparing her house to audition for the Parade of Homes. Phil is excited for Kath's "Chez Day" to finally be in the spotlight. Kath is ready to call her home "Chez Day-Knight." Phil is touched that Kath wants him to move in with her.
Kim is mad at Craig for not celebrating the second anniversary of their second date. But, what she doesn't know is that Craig is planning to surprise her later that night. Derrick offers up advice to completely ignore Kim and watch her come crawling back. Kim confronts Craig and tells him she's just going to find another booty call.
Kath's home gets rejected for the Parade of Homes and she's mystified as to why. Phil breaks the news that she needs to give her plain kitchen a makeover. Kath comes up with a plan to re-do the entire kitchen with a little "Kath magic."
As Kath begins her kitchen makeover, Kim tells Tina that it really is over between her and Craig. Tina cannot help but smile at hearing the bad news. But, she swears she's devastated on the inside. Kim is beginning to miss feeling worshipped by Craig.
Kim decides to win Craig back. She dresses up flashy and heads to the mall. She tells Craig she got tickets to a concert in Tampa and wants him to go, but they will have to stay the night in a motel. Craig tells Derrick to stay strong and turn her down, so he does.
Back home, Kim has a breakdown and realizes she really does love and miss Craig. She goes to his place with real tears streaming down her face. Craig calls Derrick for advice and Derrick tells him to go for it if she makes him happy. Craig tells Kim he loves her and the two kiss and make up and agree to move in with Kath and Phil.
Kath's makeover in the kitchen is finally complete. Athena comes over to bless it before Kath enters it in the Parade of Homes again. As Athena is burning sage, she accidentally lights the counter on fire and the flames quickly spread. The firefighters blame the faux paint used in the kitchen as the culprit for the quick burn.
The fire not only destroyed Kath's kitchen but the entire house is covered in ash and burn marks. Kath breaks down in Phil's arms. Craig and Kim witness Kath's breakdown and all four form a group hug in the charred living room.
