When three autistic teenagers who had gone missing for a month return with Savant abilities, Hood and Rachel investigate what might have happened to them. They learn that all three had similar brain anatomy from childhood MRIs taken at the same lab. They also find a couple of others with similar scan results and when they learn that a fourth teenager has recently been returned, and a fifth has just gone missing, they must work quickly to find out who is taking these teens and why. Unfortunately, when they find the fourth victim, he is bleeding to death and Hood realizes that he's had something implanted into his brain. As they probe further, Hood discovers that a doctor is experimenting on these teens, hoping to find a "cure" for his own autistic teens.
