AceShowbiz - Music mogul Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to launch his own film company. The former "American Idol" judge has already dabbled in producing, overseeing a documentary based on his talent show protege Susan Boyle last year.
Plans for a biopic about "Britain's Got Talent" star Paul Potts were axed earlier this year, after filmmakers failed to find an actor willing to take on the lead role - but Cowell remains undeterred in his movie mission. He is planning to head up a production company which will release musical-themed projects, according to Britain's Daily Star
A source tells the publication, "Simon has the Midas touch. This is great for British film. We have our fingers crossed."
