AceShowbiz - Welsh & Shedar, the 12-episode animated adventure from Ankama Animations, premiered on November 5 at 11 a.m. PT / 8 p.m. CET on the Krosmoz YouTube channel, free to watch worldwide excluding Japan.

The series launched with Episode 1, "Mushroom Pie," followed by Episode 2, "Cheese Omelet," on November 6. New episodes will then arrive every Thursday through January 14, 2027.

Set in the world of DOFUS, Welsh & Shedar follows Welsh, a kind-hearted young cook whose peaceful life in the village of Brassica is upended by the arrival of the dragon Asalar and the hero Joris. Welsh's journey draws him into a conflict involving the powerful Queen Zabelle and her son, Shedar, and toward discoveries that could reshape his destiny.

Created and written by Anthony 'ToT' Roux and produced in collaboration with Japan's Studio Massket, the series brings together Ankama's French-created Krosmoz universe and Japanese animation talent, with an opening theme performed by Hironobu Kageyama and Masami Okui.

The series also doubles as an interactive treasure hunt, with three ways for viewers to carry the adventure into DOFUS, DOFUS Retro and DOFUS Touch. The easiest is the episode gift codes: shared in the YouTube description of each episode, they unlock show-themed rewards, starting with Minikitt, an in-game pet inspired by Welsh's cat, and a Mushroom Pie consumable for Episode 1.

For more dedicated fans, Shedar's riddle hides two letters of the mysterious Bellaphone alphabet in every episode: viewers who collect and decode them all can win the Shedar outfit and a Sipho pet. Finally, the Great Quest invites players to uncover a secret code hidden in each episode and enter it into their Ankama account to unlock a series of in-game quests, gradually collecting the pieces of Welsh's outfit along the way.

Episodes feature Japanese, English and French audio with English, French, Spanish and Portuguese subtitles. A trailer for the series has been released.
