AceShowbiz - Pooh Shiesty appeared in a federal courtroom in Dallas to enter a not guilty plea against serious federal charges including kidnapping and robbery related to an incident involving Gucci Mane.
During the arraignment, which took place on Friday, Pooh Shiesty denied all allegations that could potentially lead to a life sentence. His attorney, Kent Schaffer, confirmed the proceedings, marking a significant update in a case that has drawn major attention in the Hip-Hop community since it emerged earlier this year.
According to federal prosecutors, the case stems from a January event where a meeting at a Dallas recording studio escalated into an armed robbery. They allege Pooh Shiesty masterminded the operation with eight co-conspirators, who entered the studio armed and forcibly took cash and jewelry from three men.
The stolen items reportedly included a $250,000 watch and $200,000 in diamond earrings belonging to Gucci Mane. Prosecutors claim the victims were also coerced into signing documents that released Pooh Shiesty from his contractual obligations to Gucci Mane.
Further evidence cited by the prosecution involves social media posts made by several defendants just hours after the robbery, flaunting the stolen jewelry, which is said to confirm their participation in the crime.
Also facing identical charges are Pooh Shiesty’s father, Lontrell Williams Sr., and Memphis rapper Big30, whose real name is Rodney Wright. Both have pleaded not guilty to federal counts including robbery, kidnapping, and conspiracy related to firearms used in violent crime.
Significantly, a judge has denied Pooh Shiesty’s bond request, meaning he remains in custody awaiting trial. This decision underscores the gravity of the charges and the court’s concern over the case.
