AceShowbiz - Kodak Black is currently confronting serious legal accusations following a police investigation in Orlando that led to a felony drug trafficking charge. The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Bill Kahan Kapri, surrendered at the Orange County jail on Wednesday in anticipation of a court hearing scheduled for Thursday.
The case originates from an incident in November 2025, when law enforcement officers responded to reports of gunfire near the Children's Safety Village, a learning center for kids. Upon arrival, police discovered a group of individuals gathered around high-end vehicles, specifically a Lamborghini and a BMW.
During the encounter, officers detected the smell of cannabis, prompting a search that resulted in the discovery of a pink pill. This pill tested positive for MDMA, a drug commonly known as ecstasy. Authorities found the pill inside a pink bag, which also contained documents bearing the rapper’s name and roughly $37,000 in cash.
According to the arrest warrant, Kodak Black initially denied owning the bag but later requested the return of the money, claiming it was linked to his business. The rapper has been charged with one felony count of trafficking MDMA under 200 grams. Under Florida law, this offense carries a mandatory minimum prison sentence of three years.
In public statements, Kodak Black’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, has denied the allegations, asserting that the charges should not have been filed. Cohen stated, “We look forward to yet another fruitful resolution to another case that should have never been filed,” and emphasized that his client was allegedly not in possession of any drugs, maintaining that the charges will not hold.
Despite the gravity of the charges, photos show Kodak Black appearing calm during his court appearance. The legal process will continue as he faces these serious accusations linked to the November 2025 incident near the children’s learning center in Orlando.
