AceShowbiz - Kodak Black is once again facing legal trouble following a recent arrest in Florida, marking his second booking within the same month. The rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was taken into custody at the Broward County Jail on Thursday.

The current charges against Kodak Black include resisting an officer without violence and attempting to flee from law enforcement. These allegations are related to an older case, and the charges are still pending trial.

Kodak Black's lawyer, Bradford Cohen, clarified that this arrest is not a new incident but stems from an event that occurred over five months ago. Cohen emphasized that his client voluntarily surrendered to authorities on May 15, 2026, and is expected to post bond shortly.

"This is not a new arrest. This is from a case stemming from an incident over 5 months ago," Cohen stated. "Mr. Kapri self-surrendered on the matter yesterday and will get a bond today May 15, 2026."

Cohen also accused multiple law enforcement agencies of unfair treatment toward the rapper in recent years. He mentioned previous situations where Kodak Black was wrongly accused, including an incident last year involving a supposedly dirty urine sample that turned out to be from the wrong individual, as well as a case where substances initially reported as illicit drugs tested positive only for aspirin.

This latest arrest follows a separate legal issue from earlier in May. On May 6, Kodak Black was arrested on a felony charge for trafficking MDMA, linked to an incident that took place in Orlando the previous November. He has since pleaded not guilty and requested a jury trial to contest the charges.

Despite the ongoing legal battles, Kodak Black continues to navigate complex challenges as the cases develop.
