AceShowbiz - A significant change is coming for HBO's The Last of Us as it prepares for Season 3. Following an earlier announcement that Danny Ramirez would be stepping away from the role of Manny due to scheduling conflicts, the character has been recast with Jorge Lendeborg Jr., known for his work in Wu-Tang: An American Saga, according to Deadline.
In addition to the recasting, Season 3 will introduce Clea DuVall, recognized for her role in Veep, as a Seraphite character. Production is currently underway, although HBO has kept details under wraps. However, with the conclusion of Season 2 shifting focus to Abby, it is likely that the upcoming season will delve into the experiences of Kaitlyn Dever's character, reflecting events from the The Last of Us Part II video game.
In other casting news, E! is reuniting five iconic stars from the original cast of Real Housewives of New York City for a fresh reality series titled The Golden Life. The ensemble, which includes Countess Luann de Lesseps, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, and Sonja Morgan, will partake in 10 episodes filled with excitement in Palm Beach. While the sunny Florida backdrop promises fun, the series logline hints at unresolved tensions as they navigate their complex histories.
Furthermore, John Cho, known for his role in The Afterparty, has joined actors Ben Stiller and Jessica Chastain in the upcoming Apple TV drama series The Off Weeks. This series follows a divorced father, played by Stiller, who finds himself “dangerously in love” with a mysterious woman named Stella, portrayed by Chastain. The show, which also features Arian Moayed, Annaleigh Ashford, and Richard Gere, does not yet have a premiere date.
Additionally, Stephen Fry, recognized for his role in 24: Live Another Day, will star in the Fox drama The Interrogator, which has been granted a straight-to-series order. Fry will take on the role of Conrad Henry, a former MI6 agent leading a team that tackles the world’s most dangerous criminals. The series is anticipated to debut during the 2026–2027 broadcast season.
