The Last of Us Season 3 adds Li Jun Li as Miriam, mother of Yara and Lev, joining Abby in Seattle’s revenge story.

AceShowbiz - The Last of Us is expanding its Season 3 cast with the addition of Li Jun Li, Variety reports. She will portray Miriam, the mother of Yara and Lev—roles recently cast with Michelle Mao and Kyriana Kratter, respectively. Yara and Lev are expected to play significant parts this season, intersecting with Abby during Ellie’s intense quest for revenge in Seattle.
Li Jun Li is known for her role as Grace Chow, a shopkeeper in director Ryan Coogler’s vampire drama Sinners, which debuted last year to critical acclaim and went on to earn 16 Oscar nominations, winning four. Her television credits also include appearances in Based on a True Story, Evil, and The Exorcist.
Joining Li Jun Li in the upcoming season are previously announced cast members Patrick Wilson, Jason Ritter, Clea DuVall, and Jorge Lendeborg Jr., who will take over the role of Manny from Danny Ramirez.
In related casting updates, Paramount+ announced that Bokeem Woodbine, known for his role in Fargo, will join the second season of Dexter: Resurrection. He will play Captain Mixon, described as a tenacious homicide captain. Alongside him, Nona Parker Johnson will appear as Fiona Mixon, a training officer in the Homicide unit and the daughter of Captain Mixon. Fiona is also noted as a new love interest for Harrison, played by Jack Alcott.
American Horror Story is adding Joey Pollari to its cast for Season 13, reuniting him with producer Ryan Murphy after previous collaborations on projects like Monster: The Ed Gein Story and The Beauty. Details about his character remain under wraps.
Additionally, Ethan Embry from Grace and Frankie has joined the Prime Video crime drama Cross for its third season. He will have a series regular role as Frederick, a compelling sobriety coach known for his tough-love approach.
