Snoop Dogg's story is about to leap off the charts and onto the big screen, thanks to a groundbreaking multi-year partnership between NBCUniversal and the iconic rapper.

AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg biopic is in development. NBCUniversal has announced a multi-year partnership with the rapper and his production company, Death Row Pictures, and the deal will span across film, television, sports, and streaming platforms.

Central to this deal is a first-look pact in film and television, ensuring that Snoop's creative visions will take center stage in upcoming projects.

One of the most anticipated projects is Snoop Dogg's biopic, chronicling the rapper's rise to fame. This film is set to be written by "Black Panther" co-writer Joe Robert Cole and produced by industry heavyweight Brian Grazer. Snoop himself, along with Death Row Pictures President Sara Ramaker, will also be heavily involved in the production.

Expanding beyond the silver screen, Snoop Dogg will be reclaiming his red chair as a judge on NBC's four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series, "The Voice," this fall. Joining the show for its 28th season, the multifaceted artist will bring his unique charisma and expertise back to the audience's delight.

On top of his return to "The Voice," Snoop has been a standout presence on NBC and Peacock's coverage of the 2024 Olympic Games held in Paris.

Donna Langley, Chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "There's only one Snoop, and we're so excited for him to join our unbelievable roster of creative partners."

Snoop Dogg reciprocated the sentiment, stating, "Not everyone has the courage and vision to see what Death Row Pictures can bring to the table, but Donna and the NBCUniversal team have always understood, which is why I am proud to call NBCUniversal my new home. The Dogg has officially moved into the neighborhood, ya dig?"
