Despite longstanding rumors and playful social media innuendo, Cam'ron is setting the record straight on his relationship with Mariah Carey. The Dipset legend recently took to his YouTube show to clarify their close yet purely platonic bond.

AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey is no stranger to the rap scene, having effortlessly bridged the pop and hip-hop worlds throughout her illustrious career. From collaborations with Ol' Dirty Bastard on the iconic "Fantasy (Remix)”"| to working with the likes of Da Brat, The LOX, and Ma$e, she has made her mark within the genre.

One of her notable friendships within hip-hop is with Harlem rapper Cam'ron. Their connection began in 2002 when Carey reimagined Cam'ron's hit single "Oh Boy" into her song "Boy (I Need You)," even featuring him in the track. This partnership led to various social outings, including trips to Aspen and overseas adventures in Capri, Italy.

Despite recurring rumors that the two were romantically involved, Cam'ron has consistently denied any such relationship. The speculation flared up again in 2023 when Cam'ron posted throwback photos with Carey captioned, "I'm the friend you shouldn't worry about."

On a recent episode of his YouTube show "Talk With Flee", Cam'ron categorically put these rumors to rest.

“She's a friend. She's a good friend. It's nothing less or nothing more than that. She's a super-duper good friend,” he asserted. "We were never together. We were never a couple, nothing like that."

Cam'ron also praised Carey for her significant yet often underappreciated contributions to hip-hop. "People don't give Mariah Carey a lot of credit for putting Hip Hop in her music and videos," he said, noting her extensive collaborations within the genre.

The friends' bond clearly extends beyond music into genuine camaraderie and shared experiences. "Honestly, Mariah's the first person who made me realize that it was festive in Aspen about 20-something years ago. I drunk some wine, she had a pool house, we chilled out there. She took me to Capri, to Italy. She took me to a lot of different places," Cam'ron recalled fondly.

While Cam'ron and Carey maintain a close friendship, Mariah Carey has recently been linked with Silk Sonic's Anderson .Paak. The two were spotted getting cozy in Aspen over the holidays although reports clarified they were merely working on music together.

Through it all, Cam'ron continues to emphasize the genuine, platonic nature of his bond with Mariah Carey, shedding light on her impactful legacy within both pop and hip-hop music.
