In a candid interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Majors revealed that he was sexually abused by "men and women" from the age of nine, shortly after his father abandoned their family. "I dealt with sexual abuse from both men and women from the time I was 9," he shared.

The actor's openness about his past comes at a critical junction in his career. In December 2023, Majors was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment following an altercation with his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

Reflecting on this, Majors recounted the painful moment he learned Marvel Studios had cut ties with him, "He goes, 'I'm just gonna tell you now. They fired you. Marvel fired you.' "

Despite his controversial past, Majors has committed to bettering himself. He completed a mandated 52-week domestic violence intervention program and engaged in extensive therapy.

"There are no excuses, but by getting help, you begin to understand things about yourself," Majors explained, emphasizing the importance of confronting and understanding his childhood traumas.

Majors has been receiving immense support from his peers in Hollywood. Whoopi Goldberg defended him, saying, "He was arrested. He went to court. He did what he was supposed to do. I'm not sure what else there is."

Michael B. Jordan expressed his desire to reunite with the actor, adding, "I would love to make Creed IV together." Matthew McConaughey shared, "I've known and know him as someone who is continuously striving to improve as a human, a man, and an actor. I believe in him."

Interestingly, Majors' professional life is showing signs of revival. His next film, "Magazine Dreams", once poised for award-season glory, is set for release in March 2025. Written and directed by Elijah Bynum, the film features Majors as Killian Maddox, an aspiring bodybuilder grappling with repressed rage and emotional wounds.

Majors' commitment to ongoing self-improvement shows a man determined not just to survive, but also to thrive. He remains optimistic about his future projects, hinting at a new superhero role outside the Marvel and DC universes.
