AceShowbiz - Cam'ron has made it clear that he will not take part in any reunion of the iconic Harlem rap collective Dipset, also known as The Diplomats. Despite the group's reunion shows going on without him, Cam'ron insists he will remain absent from these gatherings.
The rapper revealed that Dipset is a large group with many members who can come together without his involvement. He noted that other core members, including Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, and Freekey Zekey, have performed reunion shows while he stayed away. One significant factor behind his decision is the ongoing conflict with Jim Jones, which has lasted for about 15 years—longer than their seven-year collaboration. Although they reunited briefly in 2010, the feud has persisted, with Jones releasing diss tracks aimed at Cam'ron over nearly two decades.
Cam'ron shared his thoughts on the situation through his own YouTube platform, explaining that he respects the work ethic of Jim Jones despite their differences. He also expressed skepticism about ever fully repairing their relationship but acknowledged the collective nature of Dipset means other members can carry on without him.
Cam'ron is best known as the rapper behind the 2002 album Come Home With Me, which featured hits like "Oh Boy" and "Hey Ma." He helped define the early 2000s New York rap scene as a key member of Dipset, earning Grammy nominations alongside the group. Beyond music, Cam'ron has appeared in several films including Paid in Full and Percentage, and has ventured into sports media with his project It Is What It Is.
This refusal to participate highlights the fractured dynamics that continue to shape Dipset's legacy. While reunion shows may bring nostalgia for fans, Cam'ron's absence underscores that unresolved tensions remain a major obstacle to a full group reconciliation.
