AceShowbiz - Sabrina Carpenter, 25, launched the European leg of her Short n Sweet tour in Dublin's 3Arena on Monday night, March 3. Just months after her split from actor Barry Keoghan, 32, Carpenter took to the stage in his homeland.
She performed her hits "Espresso," "Feather," and "Taste," but couldn't resist an allusive jab at her ex-boyfriend before serenading the crowd with "Please, Please, Please" - a track she reportedly penned about Keoghan. She called Irish boys "hard works" while on stage.
Their breakup in early December has been publicly tumultuous, with cheating rumors involving influencer Breckie Hill. Keoghan vehemently denied these accusations, taking to social media to express his disdain for the "lies and hatred" being spread about him.
He stated, "I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work. The messages I have received - no person should ever have to read them."
Keoghan, who has a two-year-old son, Brando, from a previous relationship, emphasized the impact of such rumors on his family. "Each and every day I work harder to push myself on every level to be the healthiest and strongest person for that boy," he wrote, urging people to remember that his son will one day read these disparaging comments.
Despite the personal dramas, Carpenter's performance in Dublin was electrifying. The singer's stage presence was undeniable, featuring multiple costume changes and provocative dance moves.
However, her recent BRIT Awards performance has drawn criticism, with complaints filed to Ofcom regarding her risqué choreography which was deemed "unsuitable" to air before 9 P.M.
Carpenter has previously defended her racy image. Unapologetic about her stage persona, she said, "My message has always been clear - if you can't handle a girl who is confident in her own sexuality, then don't come to my shows."
