In a candid revelation, former 'Saturday Night Live' star Leslie Jones recalls a tense confrontation with a demanding director that nearly escalated into a physical altercation.

AceShowbiz - Leslie Jones, a former standout from "Saturday Night Live," has recently opened up about a tumultuous experience on set involving a director she labeled as a "narcissistic d***head." The incident occurred while she was filming a pre-taped sketch for a November 2017 episode, co-starring Kyle Mooney, with guest host Tiffany Haddish.

During the production of a fictional marriage skit with Mooney, Jones found herself at odds with the director, citing the stressful and extended working hours. Jones shared on the "Toure Show" podcast that the director was unreasonably demanding, pushing the cast and crew to work into the early morning hours despite having to return shortly for the live show.

The situation escalated when Jones sustained an injury from a wedding dress costume, leading her to decide it was time to call it a night. The director's response to her leaving, as Jones recounted, was dismissive and confrontational.

"What makes you so f***ing special?" he reportedly asked. Jones fired back, "What makes me special is that the f***ing sketch is about me and Kyle, not you," before nearly getting physical with him.

According to Jones, Tiffany Haddish intervened, ready to back her up. "What's up cuz? Who the f*** talking s***? Who talking s***?" Haddish allegedly called out, prepared to confront the director.

Although the confrontation did not turn physical, the tension was palpable, and they had to set aside their differences to complete the filming.

Jones was also not impressed by the creative direction of the skits featuring her and Mooney as a couple. She remarked that she never liked the idea, feeling that it leaned into stereotypes rather than genuine humor.

"I hated every one of those," Jones said. "He brought that idea to me and I hated it from the beginning because I never would date nobody like Kyle but they thought that s*** was so funny."

This same discomfort extended to her recurrent skits with Colin Jost on "Weekend Update", where she would comically flirt with him.

Throughout her tenure on "Saturday Night Live!" from 2014 to 2019, Jones garnered three Primetime Emmy nominations. After exiting the show, she has continued to thrive in her career, taking on roles in films such as "Ghostbusters," "The Angry Birds Movie 2," and "Coming 2 America."
