Brian Littrell's son, Baylee, is following in his father's footsteps as a musician and has tried out for the new season of ABC's singing competition 'American Idol.'

AceShowbiz - Backstreet Boys' Brian Littrell opened up about his 22-year-old son Baylee's musical aspirations. On "Today" show, the boybander revealed Baylee had auditioned for "American Idol.

Praising Baylee Littrell for his hard work, Brian said, "I'm super proud of him. He kind of gets a new sense of reality of what this is."

Baylee also teased his appearance on the show. "Tune in to see the season premiere and what happens on 3/9/25," he wrote on Instagram.

Baylee released his debut single, a country song called "Don't Knock It," in 2018. He credited his father for encouraging him to pursue his dreams. "My dad has always been my champion, so he's always told me to just do what I want to do and follow my dreams," Baylee said.

The new season of "American Idol" premieres on March 9 on ABC and will be available to stream on Hulu the following day. This season marks the first for Carrie Underwood as a new judge replacing Katy Perry. She joins Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
