Deadly wildfires ravaging the areas in Los Angeles County have forced numerous TV shows to halt filming and scheduled awards season events to be rescheduled.

AceShowbiz - The monstrous wildfires ravaging Los Angeles County have prompted a host of TV productions to pause filming indefinitely. A freak windstorm on Tuesday, January 7 coupled with extremely dry conditions ignited numerous fires, none of which had been contained by midday Wednesday, resulting in the evacuation of tens of thousands of residents and the destruction of countless homes and businesses.

Among the impacted shows are Max's "Hacks," NBC's "Happy's Place," "Suits LA," Apple TV+'s "Loot," and Peacock's "Ted," all produced by Universal Studio Group; CBS's "After Midnight," "NCIS," "NCIS: Origins," "The Neighborhood," "Poppa's House," and "The Price Is Right"; and ABC's "Doctor Odyssey," "Grey's Anatomy," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," and "The Rookie."

The Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank also closed due to the fires, halting filming on "Abbott Elementary," The CW's "All American," and Max's "The Pitt."

Film LA, the Los Angeles city and county film office, advised that all filming permits for Altadena, La Crescenta, La CaƱada Flintridge, and unincorporated Pasadena have been withdrawn for the time being. FilmLA also cautioned that personnel resources ordinarily available to support film production may not be accessible during the local State of Emergency.

These wildfires have not only halted TV production but also disrupted a string of industry events. Numerous star-studded events, including the Critics Choice Awards, "Unstoppable" and "Wolf Man" premieres, and the AFI Awards luncheon and BAFTA Tea, have been either canceled or postponed due to the fires.
