AceShowbiz - Christina Ricci has voiced her support for Blake Lively amidst her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni. Showing her solidarity with her fellow actress, the Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner reshared a message that blamed "misogyny" for framing "beautiful women," including Blake and Amber Heard, as "mean girls."
On Monday, December 23, the 44-year-old reposted the quote, originally posted by @rebeccawooolf, which read, "re: Blake Lively (and Amber Heard TBH) misogyny exploits the jealousy women feel for each other - specifically when it comes to beautiful women & girls. The fact that 'mean girls' are always beautiful is no coincidence."
"The ease in which women are manipulated into hating each other (even feminist women) is something no one wants to talk about," it went on stating. "This is (yet another!) reminder to question our willingness to burn ANY woman. That includes beautiful, successful women who dare to have a voice."
By sharing the message, Christina has joined a list of celebrities who stand by Blake after she filed a filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department against Justin on December 20. She accused him of s**ual harassment, creating a hostile work environment, and conducting a smear campaign against her on social media following the filming of their movie "It Ends with Us".
Sony Pictures, the studio behind "It Ends with Us", Brandon Skelar, who stars in the movie, as well as Blake's "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" co-stars Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera and Alexis Bledel were among those who have spoken up in defense of the 37-year-old beauty.
Meanwhile, Justin's attorney Bryan Freedman has defended his text exchange with his publicist, in which they discussed a strategy to bring down Blake. "The standard scenario planning TAG PR drafted proved unnecessary as audiences found Lively's own actions, interviews, and marketing during the promotional tour distasteful, and responded organically to that," he said.
