AceShowbiz - Benzino has spoken up after he sparked concerns with a suicidal video. The father of four, including raptress Coi Leray, has assured everyone that he is "okay" despite the viral clip that showed him allegedly threatening to kill himself.
Setting the record straight, the rapper/record producer said in a new video posted on Wednesday, December 18 that the initial footage was filmed when he was rehearsing a scene from an upcoming movie with the help of his girlfriend.
Looking fit in a black sleeveless top, he said while looking straight at the camera, "First and foremost, I just want to let everybody know that I'm okay." He then explained the event that was seen in the alarming clip, "Second of all, I want to let everybody know that was a rehearsal for a TV movie. My girl was helping me out. We were doing a script reading and that was rehearsal for a TV movie. And that was scene from the movie."
"I would never ever put my hands on any woman. I've never done that my life. That was coward," the 59-year-old stated. "And I surely won't do anything to hurt myself. Shout out to all the people that were concerned, but I'm okay."
Benzino, whose real name is Raymond Scott, also sent a message to 50 Cent who posted the video featuring Benzino on Instagram. "I also want to let Curtis know good looking. Thanks Curtis for promoting me. Keep on posting me, that's dope," he said, before concluding, "Happy holidays to all and stay safe."
Earlier on Wednesday, 50 Cent shared the video that featured Benzino sobbing and lying on the floor while holding a knife. The reality TV star was crying uncontrollably as his girlfriend Ashley Bell repeatedly yelled, "Stop! Stop! Stop! Give me the knife." Ashley was heard trying to console him as he appeared to hold the knife to his throat. "No, no, no, no!" she begged. Benzino only handed out the knife to his girlfriend after she promised not to call the cops on him.
According to Fiddy, Benzino threatened to hurt himself following an alleged domestic incident involving his girlfriend. The "In Da Club" hitmaker captioned the clip, "Benzino caught on video by his girlfriend Ashley Bell threatening to unalive him self with a knife because she called the cops for him allegedly beating her."
