AceShowbiz - Benzino has entered the chat. The Source magazine founder took to his Instagram account to weigh in on the drama surrounding Travis Hunter and his fiancee Leanna Lenee, who had been facing backlash in the past few weeks.
"This is a message for Travis Hunter," Benzino opened his message. "I think you're an amazing athlete and even a better person. You deserve everything."
He later advised the Colorado Buffaloes cornerback and wide receiver, "One thing I want to let you know - f**k all these people on the Internet. That's your girl, man." He continued, "I don't give a f**k what she did before she met you. Don't let these people f**k your moment up, bro."
"You love her, man? Love her, no matter what she did in the past. That don't matter, man," Benzino pointed out. "What matters is that if it's true love, then you love her."
Benzino shared his message for Travis after the latter deleted his Instagram account. The NFL star made the decision after fans shared an alleged video of his fiancee Leanna Lenee cozying up to another man at a party. She was seen dancing a little too close to the man. It's, however, unknown when the video was taken.
Prior to this, Leanna addressed the criticism of her behavior when Travis was awarded with the Heisman Trophy incident. "When his name was called, I instantly was going to get up," the 23-year-old said. "If you watch the video, his mom didn't get up, so I was like, 'Oh, maybe I don't get up, I just sit here.' "
Leanna shared that she consulted Travis before making the video to clear her name. "I got permission from Travis to say these things," she clarified, aiming to address misunderstandings and restore her public image.
