AceShowbiz - Benzino no longer wants negativity in his life. In a new interview, the 59-year-old revealed that he hoped to end his feud with Eminem, with whom he's been beefing for decades, as he congratulated the latter for a new milestone in his life.
"At 59 years old enough is enough like come on man," Benzino said in an interview with "TMZ Hip-Hop". "Like, listen you know I have four children. I'm not a grandfather yet. The irony is that he did say nobody wanted to hear their grandpa rap on ['Nail in the Coffin']."
Benzino went on saying, "After all these years I'm saying man wouldn't it be something if he was a grandfather before me? I swear I used to think that."
Proving that he sincerely wants to be friends with the "Temporary" rapper, Benzino even congratulated Em for being a grandfather soon. "This is a moment of joy and I'm glad I have this platform and I want to congratulate him again on being a grandfather and his daughter Hailey," Benzino shared.
"Eminem has touched a lot of people. Our situation, back-and-forth I just want everybody to know it's hip-hop. Battling in hip-hop has been since day one okay and I don't want people to think that I wish any harm on him or any bad intentions, streetwise," the Boston native continued.
"I really wanna be this guy's friend," he said of the Detroit star. "I don't wanna be his enemy no more.... I just feel like I'm at the age where I wanna lead by example." He added that, aside from leading by example, ending the beef would help cut down on all the heat he catches on social media.
Eminem announced Hailie's pregnancy in an emotional music video for her dad Eminem's latest single, "Temporary". Hailie is featured prominently in the video as she surprised the rapper with a Detroit Lions jersey labeled "Grandpa" and a sonogram image. In response to the surprise, the 51-year-old hip-hop star could be seen crying in joy.
