AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion may be signing off from Instagram for the remainder of the year, but she still has some exciting news to share via another platform. Taking it to X, formerly known as Twitter, the Texas-born star has revealed when fans can expect her new album to arrive.
On Tuesday, December 17, the Grammy Award winner made use of her account on the Elon Musk-owned social media platform to announce that she will release "Megan: Act III" in 2025. She dropped the news while reposting a tweet that capped off the year with all the works she has done in 2024 so far. "Real Hot Girl S***t ACT 3 2025 ... be ready hotties," she captioned it.
"Megan: Act III" will follow up "Megan: Act II", a reissue of her third studio album titled "Megan", which was first released on June 28. The album contains four singles, "Cobra", "Hiss", "Boa" and "Mamushi". "Hiss" became Megan's first solo number-one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global 200, while all singles peaked within the top 40 in the United States.
"Megan" debuted at No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200. To promote the album, she embarked on the Hot Girl Summer Tour, her first headlining concert tour. The album's deluxe edition, titled "Megan: Act II", was released on October 25, featuring guest appearances from Flo Milli, TWICE, Spiritbox and RM of BTS (Bangtan Boys), who appears on the bonus track "Neva Play".
While she is ready to open a new chapter in 2025, Megan continues to deal with the aftermath of her highly-publicized shooting incident involving Tory Lanez. Though the Canadian rap star remains behind bars, she has filed a restraining order against her former fling.
TMZ reported on Tuesday that the 29-year-old femcee "filed a request for a restraining order" and detailed "several months of abuse she's endured from" him. In court documents, Megan claimed that Tory "got an army of bloggers who he employs to spread defamatory statements about her."
Among the bloggers was a woman named Elizabeth Milagro Cooper, who was sued by Megan earlier this year. Elizabeth has seemingly responded to Megan's legal move, writing on X, "They're so ready to get this out that they're speaking out of turn. I'm not being sued for posting deefake p***. The paperwork clearly states I did not create nor post the video. That would make this tweet what?"
