AceShowbiz - Ryan Reynolds has addressed Martha Stewart's recent comments that he is "not so funny" in real life. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the "Deadpool & Wolverine" star said he does not take offense to Stewart's observation.

"If you can't take a punch in this business, you're in trouble," Reynolds said. "But why would people ever assume the way they see you on camera is how you're going to be in real life? Right? You're just a person."

Reynolds added that he understands why people might expect him to be more outgoing and humorous in person based on his on-screen persona. "I do it too," he admitted. "I'm a fan of people and I love certain people's work, and I'm thinking when I meet them, I want to see little glimpses of that."

Stewart made her comments while appearing on Bilt Rewards' "Rent Free" game show in November. "He's a good actor," she said of Reynolds. "He can act funny, but he isn't funny."

Reynolds responded to Stewart's comments on Twitter, jokingly disagreeing with her assessment. "I'd disagree with her," he tweeted. "But I tried that once."

Reynolds has been open about his anxiety and his tendency to be more reserved in social situations. "I've always been one to be very quiet, and part of that is anxiety I've carried with me since I was a kid," he said in the interview.

Despite Stewart's observations, Reynolds acknowledged that he can be funny on-stage. "I can't imagine entering any room in which I don't intimately know the people, where I suddenly kind of turn on and perform," he explained.
