AceShowbiz - Ellen DeGeneres has honored her late friend Stephen "tWitch" Boss on the second anniversary of his death. The former talk show host posted a photo of a field lined with trees along with a heartfelt caption expressing her love and remembrance for tWitch.
tWitch became a beloved fixture on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" after joining as a guest DJ in 2014. He was later promoted to co-executive producer and served in that capacity until the show's end in May 2022.
On September 29, 2023, which would have been tWitch's 42nd birthday, DeGeneres shared a photo of the pair hugging on the talk show set, writing, "Happy birthday tWitch. I miss you every day."
Last December, on the first anniversary of tWitch's death by suicide at age 40, DeGeneres posted a touching video tribute on Instagram. She recalled their daily tradition of singing and dancing together after each show and ending it by walking off the set arm-in-arm to her dressing room.
"I miss him so much," DeGeneres said in the video. "And it's a reminder every single day that you just don't know what people are going through. Because he was a happy guy, I thought, and I was really close to him. And he never shared that with me."
DeGeneres expressed her sadness that tWitch felt he couldn't reach out for help, emphasizing the importance of seeking support during times of struggle. She urged viewers to contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline if they or someone they know needs assistance.
