Former 'Bachelorette' star Ali Fedotowsky shared an uncomfortable encounter with Ellen DeGeneres, recalling feeling 'stupid' and being 'laughed at' by the talk show host during an interview.

AceShowbiz - "The Bachelorette" alum Ali Fedotowsky recently shared an uncomfortable experience she had with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres during an appearance on fellow "Bachelor" alum Kaitlyn Bristowe's "Off the Vine" podcast.

When asked by Bristowe about her encounter with DeGeneres, Fedotowsky admitted, "She made me feel pretty not great." Fedotowsky clarified that she doesn't believe DeGeneres is a "bad person," but rather that the demands of hosting a daily talk show may have taken a toll on her.

"I don't think she's a bad person, I just think that sometimes when you do a job like that all day every single day for years, you're just kind of over it. Here I am, this 24-year-old, famous for no reason, [I come] on her show, she's probably like, 'I've got to talk to one of these idiots again,' " Fedotowsky explained.

She recalled feeling awkward during the interview, particularly during her entrance. "I was so excited to be on the show. I was trying to be funny and personable. Instead of laughing with me, she was laughing at me. You know what I mean? So, I felt really stupid."

While Fedotowsky didn't specify which appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" she was referring to, a 2010 interview features a moment where DeGeneres jokingly asked Fedotowsky if she's "drunk," which might have contributed to her discomfort.

DeGeneres herself addressed controversies surrounding the working environment on her talk show in her final stand-up special, acknowledging that she was "kicked out of show business" following reports of a toxic work environment.

An internal investigation by WarnerMedia found "deficiencies" in the show's production, leading to the departure of several producers. DeGeneres later apologized to her staff and offered them perks, acknowledging her shortcomings as a leader.

Ellen DeGeneres has since quit her daytime show and moved to U.K. with her wife Portia de Rossi.
