AceShowbiz - "The Voice" season 26 welcomed two celebrity mentors in the Monday, November 25 episode. The episode, which marked the second night of Playoff Rounds, featured country singer Lainey Wilson and Olympic medalist Simone Biles who would help Team Reba McEntire and Team Snoop Dogg respectively.
The night was opened with a performance of Adam Bohanan (Team Reba) singing "Think I'm in Love With You" by Chris Stapleton. Coach Gwen Stefani loved that he's calm and composed, while Michael Buble said that he wanted to drink whiskey with him. Reba thought he'll only get better.
Later, Team Snoop's Christina Eagle took the stage to sing "Fancy" by Reba McEntire. Reba loved it, calling it an "incredible" and "wonderful job." Michael added, "There are so many reasons to love you."
Team Reba's Edward Preble followed it up, singing "All of Me" by Frank Sinatra. "Your humility shines through always. I'm proud of you," Michael gushed. Snoop, meanwhile, appreciated that Edward stepped up his showmanship. As for Reba, she said she was happy with her decision to steal Edward from Michael.
Singing "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston was Aliyah Khaylyn from Team Snoop. Michael got emotional by the performance, while Reba said she loved Aliyah's voice. Gwen praised Aliyah's tone and runs. Snoop added, "You set yourself up for stardom."
Team Reba's Katie O was up next with "Hang Tight Honey" by Lainey Wilson. Michael likened Katie O to Taylor Swift. Gwen commented, "You have such a warm beautiful round tone." Reba added, "That's what I wanted America to see. You're a breath of fresh air."
Team Snoop's Austyns Stancil, meanwhile, opted to sing "Adore" by Prince. Gwen pointed out her growth, while Michael hoped he could steal her for his team.
Team Reba's Lauren-Michael Sellers then hit the stage to belt out "I'm Not OK" by Jelly Roll. "You've become a real superstar," Snoop praised her. Reba, noted, "You have chosen songs that touch my heart. You can deliver a message so well."
Team Snoop's Mikaela Ayira chose to sing "Love" by Keisha Cole. "You've got some kind of range," gushed Reba. Gwen noted that Mikaela "really shined tonight," and Michael called her performance "perfect." Snoop added, "You need to be making real records."
Danny Joseph from Team Reba then performed "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" by Marvin Gaye. Gwen liked Danny's spirit and intensity. Snoop told Danny that he's one of his favorites, while Michael said, "You've earned your place."
Jeremy Beloate from Team Snoop hit the stage to sing "Impossible Dream" by Man of LaMancha. Michael admitted it was one of his favorite performances so far. Gwen said he could see Jeremy on Broadway, while Snoop claimed, "I'm crying and I don't care."
Snoop and Reba could only pick 2 singers to be sent to the Top 8, meaning that 3 singers in their team would be eliminated. Reba decided to keep Adam Bohanan and Danny Joseph. Unfortunately, Edward Preble, Katie O and Lauren Michael-Sellers were eliminated. As for Snoop, he chose Jeremy Beloate and Christina Eagle. Aliyah Khaylyn, Austyns Stancil and Mikaela Ayira were sent home.
