As Donald Trump clinches victory in the 2024 presidential election, Hollywood's elite including Quentin Tarantino, Alec Baldwin, and Jamie Lee Curtis voice their outrage, calling for unity and continued resistance.

AceShowbiz - As Donald Trump secured victory in the 2024 presidential election against Kamala Harris, celebrities and public figures have taken to social media to express their dismay and concerns over the election outcome.

The Associated Press projected early Wednesday that Trump, 78, would claim the presidency after securing crucial electoral votes in battleground states such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. The outcome has led to a flurry of reactions from Hollywood, where stars are sharing their thoughts and calling for action.

Quentin Tarantino vented his frustrations on Instagram with a post showing a newspaper headline mockingly titled "Quarantino News" that read, "America dead at 248." He captioned the post with, "I am so sorry," and added, "I genuinely did everything I could possibly do."

In a similarly somber tone, Alec Baldwin, famed for his Trump impersonations on "Saturday Night Live", posted a black screen without any caption.

Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis implored her followers to "wake up and fight" following the Republicans' control of both the presidency and the Senate. She pointed to the potential for increased restrictions on various rights and expressed her fears for minority groups, women, and the LGBTQ+ community.

"Many will be stunned and sad with the terrible feelings of the loss. That is the same result despite who wins because that's what America and democracy looks like. Has always looked like," wrote Curtis.

Several other celebrities voiced their frustrations as well. "Glee" actor Kevin McHale apologized to his followers and fellow Harris supporters with a tweet that read, "Sorry rest of the world," while he predicted dire consequences for the Supreme Court.

"RuPaul's Drag Race" queens Shea Coulee and Trinity the Tuck expressed their anger, with Coulee planning to "scream in the street" and Trinity distancing herself from Trump supporters.

Ana Navarro, known for her critical stance on Trump despite being a Republican, offered a more measured reaction. "I am at peace. I have no regrets. I did everything I could to support a qualified, decent woman, offering an optimistic vision for a unified America," she wrote on Instagram, emphasizing the need to accept the democratic process while continuing to fight against abuses of power and injustices.

The election results have clearly riled up a significant portion of Hollywood, but their collective message is one of resilience and continued advocacy. As Jamie Lee Curtis articulated, "…what it really means is that we wake up and fight. Fight for women and our children and their futures and fight against tyranny, one day at a time. One fight at a time. One protest at a time. That's what it means to be an American."
