AceShowbiz - Pete Davidson and Colin Jost seemingly shared a rather awkward moment on "Saturday Night Live". The comedians, who are allegedly feuding with each other, had an uncomfortable run-in on the stage in a recent episode of the NBC popular show.
In the November 2 episode, Pete made an appearance in a skit, joining the episode's host and his longtime pal, John Mulaney. Colin, meanwhile, joked about his struggling Staten Island Ferry venture, which reportedly was the reason behind the tension between him and Pete, during Weekend Update that night.
"A comedian at [Donald Trump]'s rally referred to Puerto Rico as a floating island of garbage, and I take offense to that as someone who proudly grew up on an actual Island of garbage," Colin joked while a map of Staten Island, where he and Pete hail from, flashed on the screen.
The husband of Scarlett Johansson added, "I'm just kidding. I don't want to offend anyone back home, but just in case, I bought the only way they can get off the island and come find me," referencing the Staten Island ferry he bought with his former friend.
Later at the end of the episode, the cast members gathered on the stage alongside host John and musical guest Chappell Roan. Pete could be seen joining them and was even caught on camera interacting with Colin.
As John made a joke while thanking Pete for his cameo, "The Suicide Squad" actor approached Colin before they shook hands and parted ways. They, however, were seen chatting briefly again sometime later.
Previously, it was reported that the beef between Pete and Colin had reached the show's creator and producer, Lorne Michaels. "Pete and Colin's falling out went all the way to the top and Lorne has been made aware of the situation," the source claimed in October. "Despite Pete being invited to host in the past- it's not looking likely that the comedian will be invited back anytime soon."
It's unclear what caused their fallout, but an insider claimed that "something big happened" between Pete and Colin, who spent $280,000 at auction for a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry. Their fight was so serious that Colin refused to be "in the same building, let alone the same room as Pete." Colin allegedly "doesn't want to be associated with Pete."
However, another source insisted that the twosome are just "busy" and "don't talk as much as they used to." The informant continued, "People move on, they work on other things, and other relationships, and they are just not as close to the people that they once worked with previously."
