AceShowbiz - KATSEYE has pulled out of Olivia Rodrigo’s all-women Daisy Chain Fields festival following an ankle sprain suffered by member Megan Skiendiel during tour rehearsals, Thatgrapejuice reports. The band relayed that medical advice recommended rest and proper recovery ahead of their upcoming tour commitments.
Variety confirmed that Skiendiel’s injury occurred during rehearsals the day before the festival, prompting the group to cancel their planned appearance on the Dandelion Stage. They were set to perform between Santigold and Mitski, with Santigold stepping in to fill the vacated slot after the withdrawal. Thatgrapejuice added that KATSEYE expressed regret over disappointing fans who had anticipated their live set.
Thatgrapejuice also noted that KATSEYE has been performing recently as a four-piece, due to the temporary absences of Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman, who stepped back earlier this year for mental health reasons. Following Skiendiel’s injury, Devon Again was announced as a replacement act on the Daisy Chain Fields lineup.
The group’s Wildworld tour is scheduled to commence in Dublin on September 1, with stops across the U.K. and Europe through mid-September before moving to North America in October. Skiendiel’s doctors advised cautious healing to ensure she is ready for the demanding tour schedule ahead.
This late-stage cancellation highlights the physical toll artists can face during intensive preparations for major events. KATSEYE informed fans promptly after the injury, showing sensitivity to their audience’s expectations while prioritizing health. The band’s new EP WILD is projected to mark a career milestone with strong early sales, underscoring the high anticipation for their live performances once fully recovered.
