AceShowbiz - While several "Saturday Night Live" alums made surprise returns in recent weeks, it seemingly won't be the case for Pete Davidson. According to a new report, the comedian won't likely be invited to the NBC hit show as his feud with her former "SNL" co-star Colin Jost intensifies.
An insider tells The U.S. Sun that their conflict has now reached the show's creator and producer, Lorne Michaels. "Pete and Colin's falling out went all the way to the top and Lorne has been made aware of the situation," the source claims. "Despite Pete being invited to host in the past- it's not looking likely that the comedian will be invited back anytime soon."
While it's unclear what caused their fallout, an insider claimed that "something big happened" between Pete and Colin, who spent $280,000 at auction for a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry. Their fight was so serious that the husband of Scarlett Johansson refused to be "in the same building, let alone the same room as Pete." Colin allegedly "doesn't want to be associated with Pete."
Another insider, meanwhile, shut down the beef rumors. According to the source, the two are just "busy" and "don't talk as much as they used to." The informant continued, "People move on, they work on other things, and other relationships, and they are just not as close to the people that they once worked with previously."
Pete, who exited "Saturday Night Live" in 2022, was slated to host the show in its season premiere back in May 2023. His episode, however, was canceled due to writers' strike. He eventually returned as a host in October of the same year.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, it was reported that Pete went MIA from close friends' lives, as Hollywood pals had turned their backs on him. "He's too much of a headache. He's just really hard to deal with, not showing up to meetings," a source said in August, adding that at least one project had been canceled due to his alleged work performance.
