The actress and talk show host encourages women to prioritize their health by capturing her mammogram on camera for Breast Cancer Awareness Month on her talk show.

AceShowbiz - During a recent episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show", Drew Barrymore invited two fans to join her as she underwent a mammogram for a special breast cancer awareness segment. Accompanied by Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz, Jessica Saint Clair, and her technician, Terry, all of whom have survived breast cancer, Barrymore captured the entire experience on camera.

The 49-year-old actress described the mammogram as a "quick and painless" process, emphasizing its importance for early detection. She explained, "It feels like if you took your two hands and you took the breast out and you just did that (motions with her hands) really hard for, what is it, Terry, 10 seconds? That's it, 10 seconds."

While the preview clip did not disclose Barrymore's results, fans praised her for sharing her vulnerability and raising awareness. "Bravo Drew for willing to be vulnerable (literally) in sharing the mammogram process," one fan wrote.

Barrymore has been open about her concerns regarding breast cancer in the past. "I do think that we all play a very negative mental tennis game in our head about our health," she expressed. "I don't know about you, but I self-diagnose all day long and the results are horrible, and that’s not the way I should be doing it."

She encourages women to take charge of their health and urges them to begin annual mammograms at age 40. Barrymore also highlights the importance of breast self-awareness, encouraging women to familiarize themselves with their bodies to identify any irregularities.

"The Drew Barrymore Show" airs Monday through Friday on CBS. Check your local listings for showtimes.
