AceShowbiz - Anna Wintour, the renowned editor-in-chief of Vogue, is not only a fashion icon but also a grandmother of three: Oliver, 2, Ella, 5, and Caroline, 7. In a recent interview on the podcast Origins with Cush Jumbo, Wintour revealed a rather unusual nickname her grandchildren used to call her: "Dog."
When asked about her relationship with her grandchildren, Wintour explained that they don't discuss her work or fashion. Instead, they focus on playful activities such as playing tennis and discussing their canine companions.
"When they were little, they always saw me with...we have three dogs, with the dogs," Wintour said. "So they used to call me 'dog.' But you know, I'm the lady with the three dogs."
Wintour's daughter, Bee, described her mother as an incredibly supportive and loving person who is always there for those around her. Despite her iconic status in the fashion industry, she makes time for her grandchildren and enjoys planning a special dinner before the Tony Awards.
"She is more of the cake person than I am," said Wintour about her daughter's elaborate cake-making for the dinner. "She'll spend weeks, months planning these cakes around each of the plays that whoever it is has been nominated for."
While Wintour's grandchildren now address her by her first name, "Anna," when they were younger, they had a unique way of referring to her. It's a testament to their close bond and the playful nature of their relationship.
