AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's divorce has affected their professional work. The estranged spouses were expected to reunite at a premiere for their new movie, "Unstoppable", but a report suggested that it's unlikely to happen.
According to Page Six, the former power couple "will avoid any red-carpet reunion at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival". The project is scheduled to premiere in the Special Presentations section on September 6, 2024, followed by a limited theatrical release in December 2024.
A source told the outlet that Jennifer will attend the Canadian film festival for the September 6 date, while Ben will not. Still, ]DailyMail.com claimed certain producers on the movie are "pushing the two to appear together at the premiere in Toronto to create buzz on the film."
"Unstoppable" narrates the life of wrestler Anthony Robles, who was born with one leg and won a national championship in 2011 while competing at Arizona State University. In the movie, which is produced by Ben and Matt Damon's production company, Artists Equity, J.Lo has a supporting role.
J.Lo filed for divorce from Ben on August 20, 2024 after two years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. The divorce came two years after their lavish Georgia wedding ceremony. In July, they had listed their marital estate for sale, with Lopez vacationing in Italy and the Hamptons while Affleck worked in Los Angeles.
Despite the separation, J.Lo has spent quality time with Ben's children. She has stepped out with Violet and gone shopping with Samuel. Sources said that J.Lo "was done waiting" and is heartbroken but is prioritizing her children. Ben, who recently celebrated his 52nd birthday with his kids, is reportedly also ready to "move on."
