AceShowbiz - Joey Lawrence has separated from his wife Samantha Cope. According to a new report, Samantha filed for divorce from the "Blossom" alum just after two years of marriage.

In the docs obtained by TMZ, Samantha claimed she and Joey split in June and decided to block the court's ability. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the separation.

Samantha asked for sole physical custody of their daughter Dylan, noting that she would approve her ex staying with their baby girl for up to two nights per week after she turned 3. She requested the actor not be allowed to take her for extended periods of time until she's older and can consent to such visits.

Joey and Samantha got married in May 2022 in an outdoor ceremony in Temecula, California. The actor was joined at the ceremony by his close family and friends, including both of his daughters. He subsequently said, "It just feels so right. Life can be challenging at times, but when God gives you the right person, it's worth it."

Samantha also spoke in gushing terms about her then-husband, saying that he's embraced her "weird quirks." Reflecting on their romance, she said, "From day one, it was such a safe place to be myself. He loves everything about me and celebrates all those weird quirks about me. I was so blessed to be in a position to receive that. Two weeks in, I was like, 'I will be with you forever.' "

Samantha and Joey welcomed their first child, Dylan, in January 2023. "1.16.23 ~ Dylan Rose Lawrence ~ Mom, Dad and big sisters are all so smitten with you sweet girl!" the musician announced on Instagram at the time. "We welcomed her into this world with the most amazing midwife."

The baby is the first for Samantha and the third for Joey. The 48-year-old is already a father to two daughters Charleston, 16, and Liberty, 12, whom he shares with his ex-wife Chandie Yawn-Nelson.
