AceShowbiz - Joey Lawrence appeared to have found comfort in Melina Alves in the wake of his split from Samantha Cope. Just one week after he and his wife called it quits, the actor was spotted having a flirty dance with his "Socked in for Christmas" co-star.

In a video taken in June, the 48-year-old could be seen enjoying his time with Melina at Anejo Cantina and Grill, a Mexican food restaurant in Sherman Oaks. At one point in the dance clip, the two shared an embrace.

Joey even playfully patted Melina's butt. Meanwhile, eyewitnesses told TMZ that they kissed, danced, ate and drank throughout the "romantic date night."

Both Joey and Melina have shut down allegations that he had an extramarital affair. "Melina and I became close friends and I did not have a physical relationship with her," the singer-songwriter wrote on Instagram.

Joey claimed the real culprit behind his failed marriage to Samantha was her alleged inability to accept his two teenage daughters from his previous marriage to Chandie Yawn-Nelson. "The unraveling of my marriage was tied to my realization that there was no way my two eldest daughters were ever going to be accepted by my wife to be part of my family," he said.

Samantha has fired back at Joey though. "As a mother who values her daughter above all else, I find these false accusations deeply troubling," she conveyed in a statement to PEOPLE. "I am confident that the truth is known to me, to Joey, and to God." Focusing on what truly matters, she added, "I am choosing to put my focus on healing, caring for my daughter, and processing the loss of my marriage and my family."

Samantha filed for divorce from Joey in after two years of marriage. The divorce news took a dramatic turn when Melina's estranged husband, Edward Rider, accused Melina and Joey of having an affair. The actress, in response, stated she and her ex had been living apart since January 2023, and denounced Edward for dragging Joey into their marital issues.
