The tennis legend, who is known for her sheer willpower on the court, is opening up about her latest endeavor in getting back to her pre-baby body while fostering body positivity in her daughters.

AceShowbiz - Despite hanging up her competitive racquet, Serena Williams has not slowed down. Nearly a year after the birth of her second daughter, Adira, Williams is candidly sharing her post-baby body struggle, goal-setting, and the importance of body positivity.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner has been focusing on her health and fitness goals, including fitting back into a cherished Valentino denim skirt from her pre-pregnancy days. "The journey is coming!" she shared enthusiastically with ET. "I actually have another one that I'm gonna post... The fun part is when that journey is over, I just got some new pants that I can't quite fit in."

While her dedication to her fitness journey is unwavering, Williams ensures her daughters perceive it as a health goal rather than a cosmetic one. She emphasizes the importance of self-love and body positivity for her young girls. "For me, it's super important for them to love who they are and whatever they look like," she revealed. "I also foster that positivity by encouraging them to give others compliments, especially other girls compliments."

Williams' journey isn't just limited to workout routines and healthy eating. Reflecting on her struggles, she confessed to PEOPLE, "My secret to losing the baby weight was just working out and eating healthy and having a real healthy lifestyle... But hey, I'm taking it a day at a time." Even professional athletes like Williams encounter setbacks. She recalled the challenges of losing weight while breastfeeding, noting that it didn't work for her despite rigorous efforts. Ultimately, she lost significant weight post-breastfeeding, illustrating how varied each body's response can be.
