Kehlani has weighed in on the romance between her friend Saweetie and her ex YG, explaining why she is 'so unbothered' by any of her exes' relationships.

AceShowbiz - During an interview with Nessa, singer Kehlani addressed her ex-boyfriend YG's current relationship with Saweetie. Kehlani stated that she is not bothered by their romance, emphasizing her lesbian identity and her belief that everyone deserves happiness, regardless of gender.
"Well, I'm a lesbian. So, why would I care about my male [exes]? I also don't care what any of my exes are doing. Male, female, anything. My goal is [for] everybody to be happy," she said. "Even when I'm with someone, if we decide that we're not mutually happy, we really shouldn't be together and we should go be with people who make us happy. That's what I want […] I'm so unbothered. If I was bothered, you'd never know."
Kehlani and YG briefly dated in 2019, but broke up in early 2020. Rumors of YG's infidelity were cited as a possible cause for the split. Kehlani publicly came out as a lesbian in April 2021. Saweetie and YG's relationship became public in March 2023, drawing attention due to Saweetie's prior friendship and collaborations with Kehlani.
Despite the controversy, Kehlani expressed her support for the couple. "I love Saweetie," she said. "They make so much sense together. Knowing them both, I'm really happy for them."
Kehlani's relaxed attitude towards her exes' relationships extends to all her former partners, regardless of their gender. She believes that personal fulfillment and compatibility are the most important factors in relationships and that parties should part ways amicably if they fail to achieve mutual happiness.
