A bartender at a New York hotel where the 'SexyBack' singer hung out with friends before he was arrested confirms the singer's claim that he only had one drink before he left.

AceShowbiz - A bartender who served Justin Timberlake prior to his DWI arrest has spoken up on his alcohol intake. The singer/actor had dinner with friends at Sag Harbor's American Hotel before he was arrested on early Tuesday morning, June 18.

Speaking to PEOPLE, the bartender has confirmed the star's claim that he only had "one martini" before he left. Another employee tells the outlet, "If he was drinking more, it wasn't here."

A police officer pulled Justin over after he witnessed the "Cry Me a River" crooner drive through a stop sign in a 2025 BMW and "fail to keep on the right side of the roadway." The officer also said in the report that Justin's "eyes were bloodshot and glassy" when he was stopped.

"A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests," the officer continued, per the report. According to his arrest report, the former NSYNC member told police, "I had one martini and I followed my friends home."

It was recently reported that Justin was pulled over by the same officer twice. He allegedly ignored a warning from the officer, identified as 23-year-old rookie officer Michael Arkinson, who eventually detained him.

The officer initially advised Justin to refrain from driving as he didn't pose an immediate danger initially. However, minutes later, the same officer spotted the singer allegedly running a stop sign and swerving into the left lane.

Justin, who continues his "Forget Tomorrow World Tour" despite his recent arrest, has extended his gratitude to his fans at his show in Chicago. The "Selfish" singer, visibly emotional, acknowledged the nearly three decades of connection with his fans, stating, "I want each and every one of you to know I've grown up with you."

He continued by emphasizing the unique bond they share, remarking, "You have been such a big and beautiful part of my life and sometimes I can't find the words to show my gratitude that you guys just keep riding with me and riding with me."

"I just wanna say you guys keep loving me and coming back and spending and sharing this experience with me," he went on. "And from the bottom of my heart, I want you to know that until I'm somewhere off this earth, I will never forget each and every one of you. You made my life so special. And tonight in Chicago, you have made us feel loved."
