AceShowbiz - Marvel Studios' highly anticipated "Thunderbolts" is currently in production, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus has confirmed that she has completed filming her scenes as the enigmatic Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. When asked about potential stunts in the film, Louis-Dreyfus joked about being bound by a strict Marvel Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), emphasizing that any spoilers would result in her "execution by the universe."
"Thunderbolts" brings together a stellar cast of returning MCU stars, including Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova/Black Widow), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier), Wyatt Russell (John Walker/U.S. Agent), Hannah John-Kamen (Ava Starr/Ghost), David Harbour (Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian), Olga Kurylenko (Taskmaster), and of course, Louis-Dreyfus as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
Despite speculation about Val's role in the film, Louis-Dreyfus has remained tight-lipped, stating that it's a "bit of both" good and bad, with her character straddling the line between the two.
Loron Balfe has been confirmed as the composer for "Thunderbolts", bringing his acclaimed talents from "Black Widow" and "Mission: Impossible" to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Recent rumors suggest that the film will delve into a complex plot involving Val's crew being sent to eliminate an unknown target, only to realize they've been set up and must band together to take Val down. Sentry, a powerful and unstable character played by Lewis Pullman, may also factor into the team's mission.
"Thunderbolts" is scheduled for release in theaters on May 2, 2025, joining Marvel Studios' upcoming slate of highly anticipated releases.
