AceShowbiz - Following the cancellation of a May 27 concert as part of his residency at the London Palladium in England due to "doctor's orders," 80-year-old Barry Manilow resumed his performances the next day. The singer's team announced via social media that the May 27 show has been rescheduled for June 9 at 2:30 p.m. BST.
The May 28 concert reportedly went off without a hitch, with Manilow performing hits from "Copacabana" to "Looks Like We Made It" for a crowd that included Pet Shop Boys' Chris Lowe.
Manilow's team did not disclose the nature of the health issue that led to the show's cancellation. The singer is scheduled to perform at the London Palladium for a total of 14 nights before embarking on a North American tour, followed by a stint in Las Vegas and a run at New York City's Radio City Music Hall.
Despite declaring his intention to "stop touring" in a recent interview, Manilow chose to spend 14 nights performing in London, citing the enthusiasm of his British fans, who he said were "louder than any other audience."
Manilow's London Palladium residency marks his final shows in the U.K. Following his stint in the British capital, he will return to Las Vegas for his regular performances at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. The singer's "The Last Concerts" arena tour in the U.S., starting July 25, will be his final performances in those cities.
