Kate Hudson has no regret about her marriage to much-older ex, insisting their relationship was 'not a mistake' despite their 13-year age difference and ultimate divorce.

AceShowbiz - Kate Hudson has always been transparent about her personal life, and her recent reflections on her first marriage to musician Chris Robinson highlight her openness about love and relationships.

In an honest conversation on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Kate explored her whirlwind romance and marriage to the Black Crowes lead singer, emphasizing that despite their eventual split, it was a significant and positive part of her life.

Hudson and Robinson's relationship began when she was just 18, and they tied the knot when she was 21. Despite their 13-year age gap, Hudson described Robinson as her "first real love" and did not regret a moment of their time together. "I didn't question it for a second. We were so connected," she said, adding that their relationship taught her profoundly about love and connection.

Although they divorced in 2007, Hudson insisted that their relationship was "not a mistake" and that she looks back on that time with a sense of having done the right thing.

"There's this sort of construct that we're supposed to do it a certain way, which I understand 'cause I really believe in the [family] unit, and I think it's what's missing right now," she shared. However, she also believes that family units can exist outside traditional, often religiously influenced, models of marriage and male-female relationships.

Post-divorce, Hudson continued to prioritize her family. She shares her oldest son, Ryder, with Robinson, another son, Bingham, with ex-fiance and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, and a daughter, Rani Rose, with her current fiance Danny Fujikawa.

Her blended family dynamic is a testament to her belief that beautiful, fulfilling family experiences can be created even when romantic partnerships don't last. "Just because you're not supposed to be with someone doesn't mean that you can't create a big, beautiful experience. I don't know how I've been able to do it, but we just do it, all of us," she noted.

In addition to discussing her relationships, Hudson recently ventured into the music industry, releasing her debut album "Glorious." She expressed her lifelong love for music and the personal fulfillment it brings her, a passion that she has finally shared with the world.

Kate Hudson's reflections offer important insights for young people navigating their own relationships and family dynamics. Her journey illustrates that love and family don't have to fit into conventional molds to be meaningful and profound. Hudson's ability to maintain healthy relationships and create a harmonious blended family despite past breakups is both inspiring and aspirational.
