Jenna Ushkowitz delights fans with the exciting news that she and husband David Stanley are expecting their second child. Learn about their journey from marriage to the joy of expanding their family!

AceShowbiz - Jenna Ushkowitz, widely adored for her role in the hit TV series "Glee" and celebrated as the host of the "And That's What You REALLY Missed" podcast, is once again on her way to embracing motherhood. The 38-year-old actress and her husband, David Stanley, are eagerly anticipating their second child, as a rep for the couple exclusively confirmed to PEOPLE.

Recalling the moment she discovered the pregnancy, Ushkowitz shared, "I was actually on vacation in New York visiting my family at the time. And when I was packing, I had a Clearblue Early Digital Pregnancy Test in my closet and I was like, 'Let me just pack it just in case.' "

"So I packed it and the day before we left the trip, I was like, 'Something feels very familiar about this feeling and let me just take this test.' I did. And when pregnant came up, my jaw dropped," she admits with joy.

The thrill continued when she shared the news with her husband. With an unmistakable look of surprise on her face, Ushkowitz recalls Stanley immediately sensed the good news. "He just knew and he was just so, so happy. We were so excited for our daughter to be a big sister and to expand our family. It's just really, really special," she shared.

Their 2-year-old daughter, Emma, is still piecing together what the news means. "She says, 'I'm a big girl. I'm a big sister.' And she understands the concept of baby. So to an extent, she knows what's going on," Ushkowitz adds.

Reflecting on her pregnancy journey, Ushkowitz described her first pregnancy as "really easy," contrasting it with a "head-spinning experience" this time around. "It's just such a good lesson that every pregnancy truly is different," she notes, adding that she feels "more relaxed" and "more confident" now.

"I think the biggest lesson I learned with having my daughter was you really have to go with the flow. And so I'm just going to listen to that, release the control, and kind of just go with where the tide takes you," Ushkowitz advises other expectant mothers out there.

The couple's journey towards expanding their family has been filled with memorable milestones. Ushkowitz and Stanley tied the knot in a heartwarming outdoor ceremony in July 2021. "We were elated and so grateful that we didn't have to push our wedding and that we got to have the day of our dreams," Ushkowitz told Brides magazine.
